The Arm Candy Tee is a basic crew-neck tee shirt with multiple, easy-to-customize sleeve variations. The silhouette is somewhat fitted, and drafted for cut-and-sew jersey knit fabrics. Make it in two hem lengths: long or cropped.

This pattern is drafted for two different proportional fits to accommodate different chest/bust sizes and waist-to-hip ratios. The Arm Candy Tee is a gender neutral design that you can use to make tee shirts for all of your friends and family.

Two fits, two hem lengths, and seven sleeve variants make for a total of 28 different styles in one pattern! Instructions are included for various fit and adaptability modifications, as well as inspiration for countless ways to customize this design.

About linear and dynamic fits:

Our two fits are referred to as linear and dynamic, so as to avoid any gendered language, because bodies come in all shapes and sizes that don’t necessarily correlate to someone’s gender. A linear fit is more rectangular and boxy. A dynamic fit is designed to accommodate a curvier, more rounded figure. If your waist-to-hip and bust/chest-to-waist ratio fall into different proportional ranges, instructions are included for blending between fits.

Recommended fabrics:

The Arm Candy Tee is designed for knit fabrics with at least 50% 2-way stretch. Some suitable options are:

  • cotton jersey
  • rayon or modal jersey
  • merino wool jersey
  • silk jersey
  • synthetic jersey
  • fashion/novelty knits
  • light/mid-weight rib knits
  • lightweight sweater knits
  • stretch mesh
  • nylon or polyester spandex
  • active/swimwear fabrics

This PDF pattern is designed to be printed at home or at a third-party copyshop. Your download will contain 3 files:

ArmCandyTee_LetterA4.pdf
ArmCandyTee_LargeFormatA0.pdf

When printing either of the pattern files, be sure to print at actual size (100%) or select “do not scale” on your print screen. Use the 2” (5 cm) test square to check that your file has printed at the correct size. Scaling the pattern up or down from its intended size may result in the pattern pieces not fitting together properly.

All pattern files contain separate layers for each size, which can be turned off or on according to the sizes which you would like to print. Please note that this feature only works in Acrobat Reader. You can download Acrobat Reader software for free at this link: https://get.adobe.com/reader/

The large format/A0 files have also been optimized for use with a projector.
